ABOUT ME

Hello!!!

I’m Javier Zapata, a Florida-based Motion and Graphic Designer experienced in 2D/3D animations for effective storytelling. I am also bilingual (Spanish/English). At a very young age, the excitement I got when watching the special effects in movies was amazing. Every time I saw something exciting my brain would start to spin its gears of imagination looking to figure out how it was done. Somehow I knew my future would be in the entertainment field. 

When the time came I got my degree in Science of Computer Animation at the Art institute of Fort Lauderdale and a degree in Creativity from everything I could grab on to and learn from, including design books, tutorials, and colleagues involved in photography, video and graphic design.

Now having more than 20 years of experience, I have worked for a variety of companies in roles such as Animator, Graphic Designer, Motion Designer and Art Director. Some of the industries I’ve been involved in include local TV Stations, Graphics Hubs, Sport Networks and Multimedia. My ability to lead and work with a team is something I’m proud of, especially when you get the chance to mutually explore ideas, and with direction, results in a product we can all be proud of.

My strengths include the ability to caption the exact motion essential to a particular project in a way clients can understand, elevating the design process, maintaining a clear message throughout any product, creating engaging in social media, all within budgets and meeting deadlines.
